I’m going dress shopping for the first time later today, and I just realized that I haven’t done any prep work or really thought about what I need to do beforehand! Just looking for tips on how to optimize the experience!A bit about me:Size 16 and very curvy. Size 34I bra. I have a small, high waist and wide hips.I was Mormon for a long long time, and so my style is very modest. Even now that I “can” wear whatever I want, I really gravitate towards being covered up. I don’t want a dress that is particularly revealing.My budget for a dress is about $2600, including shipping and alterations.I am hoping to wear my moms floor-length veil with my dress. Unfortunately, it’s currently in another state. She passed away in June and wearing her veil is very important to me. It is double-layered and has about a three inch floral trim.I want something bold/unique.
