Hi! So my fiancé and I got engaged a few weeks ago and one of the first things we wanted to do was ask the members of the wedding party to be in our wedding. We both always envisioned having four people. We have had these people picked out before we got engaged. I’m having my sister, my fiancé’s sister, and two family friends. He is having his best friend, my brother and 2 childhood friends. I have told my family before we even got engaged who we would probably have in our wedding party. Now my parents and my sister think it’s rude that I’m not asking my fiancé to have my sisters boyfriend in the wedding. My sister has been friends with her boyfriend for years but they have only been dating for one year. My sister is convinced he will marry him (and probably be engaged by the time of my wedding) and it will be weird to not have him in the wedding party. I don’t really have a problem with him in the wedding party but nobody said anything until recently and my fiancé and I have already picked four people each and ordered our custom gifts to ask them. And while I do think my sister will marry this guy at this point he is still just her boyfriend. So am I wrong for not having my sisters boyfriend/potential future husband be in our wedding party? My family says we will regret it in the future. via /r/weddingplanning https://ift.tt/3bjwBw0
