
I'm having a bit of a conundrum surrounding food options. A large portion of my family has Celiac disease, meaning they cannot eat gluten or they will get immediately ill. Meanwhile my FH and much of his family are vegetarian. The best option offered by most vendors for vegetarian food are pastas. However pasta = gluten and (especially if there is a buffet) there is a risk of cross-contamination between the pasta and the gluten-free options. We also have a small budget and many venues have built-in catering. The food issues are making it difficult to find venues we like. I know places may be willing to work with us once I reach out to them. However, any suggestions on doable food options to suggest?As far as cake, my sister is luckily a very talented baker who is making a gluten-free wedding cake for us.
