What are people’s thoughts on postponing a wedding twice? We got engaged in February 2019 and our wedding was set for October 2020. COVID threw a wrench in our plans and we eloped with just our parents and had rescheduled our wedding for July 2021. We didn’t keep this a secret and have been open about the fact that we are legally marriedAt our elopement, we went to a courthouse and were legally married but did not exchange rings or vows. However, we wanted to keep most of the sentimental aspects of our wedding for the day we celebrate with all of our friends and family. Now it seems like July 2021 probably won’t happen and we are debating rescheduling again for 2022 when things look safer. We are planning an indoor wedding for roughly 100 people. We have also considered switching to a backyard wedding with roughly 50 people but really don’t want to do anything to put our guests/ourselves in an uncomfortable or unsafe situation with covid and hope to wait for everyone who comes to be vaccinated.I have gotten feedback from some family that it would be weird to postpone our wedding two years and two times and we should just skip having a reception all together. I’m curious what people’s thoughts are, would it be weird to have a wedding 2 years late even though we technically are married? via /r/weddingplanning https://ift.tt/2MpNM5S
