ok so im not exactly engaged yet but we are planning on it this year. with that being said, we have been talking about our wedding ideas recently and my side of the family (bride side) really wants us married in the church. i grew up catholic and went to catholic school my whole life but i am not a practicing catholic. i believe it would feel wrong to get married in a church not to mention my bf doesnt want to, we both want to get married outdoors. my dad mentioned that maybe a small intimate immediate family member only church wedding AND our outdoor wedding/ reception could be an option. i would be ok with that but im wondering if anyone else has done this and how it went or if youre planning on it what advice do you have? how do i "convince" my bf to commit to this idea, since my dad would be paying for most of the wedding anyway so its almost like my dad has a lot of "leverage". via /r/weddingplanning https://ift.tt/3iKaPUX
