My dad has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer and we need to have a desperate wedding so he is well enough to be here for it. Any ideas on how to pull it off on the cheap? Located in Victoria, Australia.

So basically what the title says, we aren't sure how long he has left, maybe 5 years if we're lucky but most likely only 1-2. We want to have it when he is still well enough to attend and participate fully. He's always wanted to see my younger sister and myself get married and walk us down the isle. My sister is a ways off getting married but I got engaged at the beginning of last year, before covid hit. I want to at least be able to have my wedding before my dad passes so he can be a part of it and knows I'll be happy after he's gone. We're starting with $0. Unfortunately covid took what little money we had saved as I was put out of work because of it. We were originally planning on having it in roughly 3 years time so we could restart our savings and have exactly what we wanted as we were in no rush. Life, unfortunately had other plans. What are some ideas on how to do this on a super small budget? It may be happening at towards the end of this year or even sooner. DIY ideas, websites for discounted items, advice on where we should put more or less money towards, or things we should skip on getting entirely. Anything would honesty help. This has been such a hard time and I know its still a bit early to be thinking about all of this, but I need something to focus my attention on so I'm not constantly stuck in my head. Thanks everyone x via /r/weddingplanning https://ift.tt/2XJ5d3q
