Buying a dress without trying it on?

For those who remember the “can’t go to Canada because I’m a dirty American” post, I found a similar dress that’s even more of what I want. It’s the Morilee Stacey dress (#5812), and I’m almost as in love with it as I am with the groom! I know in my gut it’s the one, it combines all of the things I’ve loved about other dresses I’ve actually tried on, but I’d have to order it without actually trying it on and that is giving me pause. Anyone have any experience they could share to make me feel less anxious about it?
