Hey Redditers.I don’t post much. So please bare with my scatter brain… and my little turmoil.Great news I’m marrying my best friend. Countdown is now weeks away!! This was many years in the making.Overall I am very excited but without getting too personal, my professional pursuits have been incredibly intense. Sadly this intensity hasn’t translated well into upkeep of friends. Selection of groomsmen was tough because I am not really close with anyone (I’m a bit embarrassed and depressed by this). However I have selected my groomsmen and I guess that was fine. One long time childhood friend and a few newer friends from the core group from the small circle of a few couples we hangout with. I figured a winning squad?…However it seems like I’m planning my own bachelor party?… (perhaps I’ve made assumptions the bestman and/or groomsmen would be planning it…. I get most of this from the wife to be, her friends and google). It’s been months and I’ve been the only one driving the bus. Frankly. Unless my assumptions are misguided I’ve felt quite let down. I would not say I’d have any issue at this stage have a night out by myself. Paintball in the day?, Casino , strip club,home? (Keep it a rather innocent evening). Or I just tell them y’all demoted to guest and I pick new friends.I guess I’m just reaching out here for opinions on what’s the correct move? Am I supposed to be delegating very clearly here? Ive chatted with each groomsmen mentioning nothings been planned by anyone hinting for maybe someone to step up? A few more weeks has gone by and nada. So With the timeline ticking I feel there’s less than 4 weeks to a well discussed/planned bachelorette for the wife and with 0 going on in this camp I’m thinking whatever guess it doesn’t work out for everyone… guess I’m a bit of a loser?Sorry if it’s a rather depressing read I just wanted to put it out there to get the best informed feedback?If it’s not uncommon to plan your own bachelor party then I’ve misguided my expectations and I’ll get over it lol. via /r/weddingplanning https://ift.tt/3ea8gu9
