Walking down the aisle

UGHH.... why is this so stressful? I just need some advice and to vent. My father and I have not always had the greatest relationship, he’s always been in and out of my life, therefore I am much much closer to my mother and therefore I talk to and see my step father of 10 years much more. I informed my father last night that the shirts I ordered for the guys to wear in my wedding arrived yesterday, and also informed him that I think my step dad is going to walk down the aisle with us as well. He said “maybe you’d rather just have him walk down the aisle instead”. Well no I’d rather not do that, I’d rather have both of them as planned, they are both along with myself and my mother contributing to this wedding, and I feel like my step father should have some role in the wedding. How can I also honor him and not have feelings hurt, I was hoping for people to realize I am only doing this once and get along for a day, my mother and father have always been on good terms after they split up so I just don’t understand and now I almost just want to walk alone.
