We did it! My feedback for current brides:-Invite fewer people. As with most brides, one of my biggest issues is in trying to talk to everyone I didnt get to really spend time with anyone. We ended our wedding at 9 and afterwards went out with just 30 friends (rather than the full 100 people invited), this was a nice way to see my friends hwo had flown in just for this because I really didnt get to spend time with anyone during the wedding.-Day of coordinators are actually quite helpful and probably worth the money. We paid a family friend to help out so it was cheaper but definitely worth having someone on site to make decisions and set up/break down.-We did a cookie table with cookies made by various family members. It was a hit and saved us money. No one complained about lack of cake.-If you want to require covid vax and tests, do it. Any sort of covid restrictions y'all want-DO IT. Dont invite the person who is anti vax, make sure you tell folks about it up front. I required proof of vaccination and was able to buy some rapid tests for people. It ended up weeding out two people who had asymptomatic covid! My guests all agreed they felt more comfortable knowing everyone there was vaccinated and had tested negative.-Even if you have an online registry, people will want to buy you physical things. We did honeymoon funds but found that the older generation liked contributing to more concrete items.Hope this helps! via /r/weddingplanning https://ift.tt/3pfLGqq
