Has anyone here ever regretted eloping? We are trying to make a plan but I can’t shake the nagging feeling we may regret it..

My partner and I are trying to decide what we will do for our wedding. We are VERY close with both of our families and on one hand we don’t want anyone to feel excluded…. On the other hand, there is nothing that sounds enjoyable to me about the whole big wedding thing.I know it’s our day and we should do what we feel is best for us, but I am hyper aware that there would be some seriously hurt feelings. I also worry that I’ll regret not having family/friends.Has anyone worked through this before?
