Bridesmaid asked to spend $1k+ each towards a bachelorette party/weekend away

Am I being stingy or is this a reasonable concern?I've been asked to be a bridesmaid for my friends wedding next year and the bride has asked that each bridesmaid pays 1k+ towards a bachelorette party (i.e. she's planning for us to travel to a different state for the weekend; thankfully I talked her out from going overseas). The 1k only includes airfare, accommodation and car hire costs, it doesn't take into account food/drinks, potentially paying for things for the bride or any other little bits that might pop up.I've recently started my first job this year, so I'm getting paid decently (still on grad pay but better than nothing) but in general I'm not the type to spend a lot, so I don't know if I'm just being stingy or if this an actual concern to have. I've mentioned to her I wasn't too keen on spending a lot, and she offered to pay for me (note: she's not rich at all, she just regularly spends A LOT and expects her fiancé to make all the money after they get married) but I don't want to be in debt to her and as her friend I don't want her to blow all her money on a few days as having some left over when she's actually married would probably be wise. I would also feel really guilty letting her pay as I do have $1k available I'm just not sure I want to spend it on a trip like this...Any advice would be more than appreciated as this is stressing me out! via /r/weddingplanning https://ift.tt/3jl1Tqu
