Would it be taboo to host our wedding reception on 9/11? Our original wedding was planned for March 2020 and we all know what happened then. We went ahead and eloped with just our immediate families at the time, so we are married and our anniversary is in March. However since everything was already paid for, we couldn’t really get our money back and had to pick a new date. I picked March 2021 which I am also going to have to cancel. The only Saturday left in 2021 in which my photographer is still available is 9/11. However my mother absolutely freaked out that we could not possibly have a wedding reception on this date.
