Hair and Makeup for Bridesmaids

Hi Weddit! I wanted to get an opinion from you all. I’m going to have about 5-6 bridesmaids, and I would like the wedding preparations to be as least stressful as possible for them. I was thinking that the bridesmaids could style their hair however they want; down, up, whatever feels comfortable for them. And for makeup, just give them a base idea of colors. If they want to do fancy eyeshadow looks, up to them. If they want to skip all that and just do some mascara, cool with me. Is this a good idea? I have full confidence that my bridesmaids aren’t going to do anything crazy hair and makeup wise. I guess I’m not quite sure what brides expect from their bridesmaids?
