I don’t want my maid of honor to be my maid of honor anymore

We grew apart since I’ve gotten engaged and one of my other bridesmaids really stepped up and helped do a lot of planning. My maid of honor is the least enthused and has not offered any help to plan the wedding/Bach. I don’t want to give her the title of maid of honor, but I’m not sure what to say to her.
