Invitation Etiquette Question


My partner and I have made the tough call to postpone our wedding all the way until 2022, and it has me wondering what to do about engagement announcements, elopement announcements, save the dates, and invitations. A little background:We just announced our engagement on social media two months ago. Our original wedding date was Labor Day 2021, but because the wedding has a lot of international guests, we decided to move the big event all the way back to Labor Day 2022 to be safe. We are now planning to do a small, family-only elopement in June. Which leads to the question... what is the proper etiquette in terms of what to send to guests and when?Do we do something to announce the engagement now (other than the social media post)? Do we wait and send out elopement announcements after June? Do we combine those with the save the dates? What are others in a similar situation doing?
